Thank you again for supporting the 9th Annual Irv Feldman Poker Tournament and Casino Night! We are pleased to announce that the event raised over $184,000 to support the fight against Pulmonary Fibrosis. Continue below for an event recap!
The 9th Annual Irv Feldman Poker Tournament and Casino Night took place on August 27th at Gibsons Steakhouse in Oak Brook, IL. The event welcomed over 200 poker guests and 100 casino guests, where they were treated to classic Gibsons offerings with passed apps, carving stations, specialty desserts, and late night bites!
The event featured a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament where the winner, Nicola D., was crowned champion and will have the opportunity to compete in the 2023 $10,000 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas! Additional final table winners received prize packages that included vacation trips to Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, electronic packages, staycations, sporting tickets, and much more! Everyone at the final table also received custom bottles of bourbon valued at over $150 each!
Poker Power was in attendance and gave free poker lessons before the tournament started to those looking to improve their game. Poker League of Nations was also on hand with Lena Evans providing two bounty prizes for the tournament including a women’s necklace from Tiffany and a men’s watch. Finally, The Gurtz Family Foundation provided a $1,000 gift card to the last woman standing which was won by A.J. R. who made the final table!
The casino featured blackjack, craps, and roulette charitable gaming tables where guests competed for prizes such as an iPad, Cubs tickets, a $200 Gift Card to Hugo’s Frog Bar at Rivers Casino, and many more!
In addition to the poker and casino gaming, there was a silent auction which featured trips to Mexico and Puerto Rico in addition to memorabilia items from The Masters and Lady Gaga!
Guests could also participate in the “Stack The Deck” raffle where Mara F. won roundtrip airline tickets and Dan B. won a weekend stay in a suite at The Peninsula Hotel.
Overall, the evening was a huge success thanks to the sponsors, partners, and individuals such as yourself. By supporting this event, you are supporting the fight against pulmonary fibrosis. We look forward to seeing you at next year’s event, so stay tuned for future announcements!
