The 11th Annual Irv Feldman Poker Tournament and Casino Night took place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Gibson’s Steakhouse in Oak Brook, IL. The event welcomed over 200 poker guests and 120 casino guests, where they were treated to classic Gibsons offerings with passed apps, carving stations, specialty desserts, and late night bites! Together we raised $238,000 for pumonary fibrosis! Thanks to everyone who participated.

We’re excited to announce our partnership with the American Lung Association in the fight against pulmonary fibrosis. Danielle Trojenik, Sr. Director for Midwest ALA, represented this partnership at our 11th Annual Irv Feldman Texas Hold 'Em Tournament, joining us to raise awareness and make a meaningful impact. This partnership marks a significant step forward in our shared mission, and we are excited for the progress we will make together.
Free Poker Lessons!
Were you new to the game of poker? Or maybe you wanted to expand your poker knowledge? Attendees arrived early and participated in the Poker 101 instructional lesson. The class was led by Poker Power, a national organization based in Chicago that teaches women how to play Texas Hold 'Em. This class was FREE and open to ALL!
AJ Rudolph and April Oury were instrumental in promoting our tournament by sharing it with their followers on social media, helping to spread the word and generate excitement for the event.

hosts 2024 Irv Feldman Annual Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament
Marley Kayden, an Emmy Award-winning business correspondent for NewsNation’s “Morning in America” was our 2024 event emcee! Most recently, she covered the World Series of Poker live from Las Vegas for CBS Sports and Poker GO! Marley was the co-host of “Chicago’s Best” on WGN-TV until its 10-year-run concluded near the end of 2021. Prior to joining the WGN team, she spent several years at NBC Chicago, anchoring traffic on the weekends, reporting and hosting the station’s special events programming. Marley played in the poker tournament and went "all-in"!

At the 2024 tournament's live auction, Ted Chakos made an exciting bid of $3,250 on a special bourbon bottle, adding to the electric energy of the event. His bid will not only fuel his bourbon collection but also directly support families impacted by pulmonary fibrosis. Cheers to that! Here’s to making a difference, one sip at a time!
Last Woman Standing
2024 Winner: Lynn Gottlieb
Poker Power partnered with The Gurtz Family Foundation for a Last Woman Standing prize! The Last Woman Standing in the poker tournament received a $1,000 prize in honor of Marlene Gurtz. The prize celebrated the perseverance and determination of the winning player just as pulmonary fibrosis warrior Marlene Gurtz battled her lung disease.
