Since 2013, the Feldman Family Foundation has proudly hosted annual poker tournaments in honor of our father, Irv Feldman, who bravely battled pulmonary fibrosis. These events have featured stellar prizes, including luxurious getaways and unforgettable experiences, with tournament winners earning a ticket to compete in the World Poker Tournament in Las Vegas. The funds raised from these events have been directly channeled to support families, provide essential supplies, and enhance education and awareness about pulmonary fibrosis. With your support, we can achieve even greater things.

“Receiving this grant for COVID-19 support was a real boost to all of our spirits. Our staff has been working tirelessly to care for our residents 24/7, and there have been some trying and exhausting moments. When we receive a community-based grant, it reminds us that there are still people in our community cheering us on, and it’s an acknowledgment that our clients matter just as much to the community as they do to us, personally.”
“As the pandemic started impacting Illinois, a lot of our regular donors of groceries began closing their doors. That was a stressful time for all of us – we absolutely respected the well-being and concerns of our donors, but the need for groceries didn’t stop. With our clients unable to work and in the homes 24/7, the need for groceries actually increased. Thanks to this grant, we’ve been able to fill the gap between what we can provide and what is needed. This grant filled the pantries in 22 of our Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes, feeding 140 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
“Our clients are extremely vulnerable to illnesses like COVID-19, so we have gone through a lot of cleaning supplies since the pandemic began. With 22 homes and a pandemic, the cost of cleaning supplies adds up quickly. Knowing that there are groups like Feldman Family Foundation who will stand shoulder to shoulder with us against this pandemic to protect individuals with disabilities has been very reassuring and comforting.”
